PULSE

This performance took the form of storytelling. After asking the audience to sit on the ground as they would around a campfire, I read texts I wrote while visiting a nuclear waste repository in Finland.

 

I used narration as a tool to approach the concept of time, blending the immediacy
of storytelling with the long ecological time of nuclear waste storage.

Live electronic music, playing at the same time, supported the narration with a slow and cold tempo.

The projection screen showed photographs of the underground nuclear storage tunnels, and the fields right above.
